Advanced Technology

At Annville Dental Group, our patients are always our top priority! Our team stays up-to-date on the latest technology to give you the best overall dental experience in Annville, PA. The tools we use for diagnosing and treating your smile have proven to be both safe and effective. Advanced technology allows us to give our patients the high quality care that they need to maintain a healthy smile.

Air Abrasion

Air abrasion is a modern technology that safely blows an airstream mixed with small particles of aluminum oxide. Air abrasion uses a handheld device to safely remove tooth decay and stains from the surface of your teeth without the need for a dental drill! Air abrasion is also used in restorative or cosmetic dentistry to either prepare a tooth for treatments such as tooth bonding or repair teeth that are damaged or worn.

Cavitron

For patients with gum disease, the Cavitron offers a way to save time and provide a better overall experience when cleaning the teeth and gums. The Cavitron removes calculus from both the gums and the teeth with a small handheld device. The Cavitron makes treatment comfortable, gentle and very effective. Plus, treatment is quicker so you don’t have to spend as much time in the dental chair!

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays allow our team to capture images of your smile for an accurate and clear diagnosis. We can enlarge clear digital images to get a closer look at your teeth. Digital x-rays also allow us to display images directly on our computer screen so that you can also take a look at areas of concern. Digital x-rays are safer than traditional film x-rays and use a much lower level of radiation. Digital x-rays give us the information we need to plan out your dental treatment and look for any dental problems beneath the surface of your teeth.

Intraoral Camera

This pen-sized camera can view your teeth and gums from many angles, allowing your dentist to take a good look at your entire smile. A disposable cover is used each time to ensure your health and safety. The intraoral camera records images and provides your dentist with information for better diagnosis and treatment planning.

Panoramic X-Ray

The panoramic x-ray machine gives your dentist a 360-degree image of your entire mouth including your sinuses and bone structure. This is helpful in viewing areas of the jaw, head and teeth. Depending on your dental needs, the panoramic x-ray can be very helpful in planning your treatment.

Rotary Endodontics Handpiece

The rotary endodontics handpiece gives our patients a better experience in root canal therapy. This tool is used during treatment, making the entire visit faster and more comfortable. The rotary endodontics handpiece is both efficient and gentle in caring for our patients’ smiles.
